Pastor Rev. Dr. Susan Weier
Pastor Sue is a native Iowan and graduate of the University of
Northern Iowa, 1979. She got her Master's of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology, Denver Colorado in 1983. Her first 10 years of ministry were in Iowa. Since then she has received her Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities in New Brighton Minnesota, 1994. She also served as an Intentional Interim Pastor in 7 churches all around Michigan, before being called in July 2007 as the more permanent pastor here in Grinnell. Her partner, Janice Springer and Pastor Sue have 4 grandchildren, 2 in St. Louis, Missouri and 2 in Missoula, Montana. She delights in finding ways to build a loving community that deepens in faith and service.

Laura Lof, Coordinator of Christian Education
Raised in a small, rural UCC congregation in Red Oak, Iowa, Laura has been active in the wider church for most of her life. Thirty-one years after attending her first Iowa Conference UCC annual meeting at age 13, Laura was elected to serve as the Chair of the Iowa Conference Board of Directors in 2008. A graduate of the University of Iowa with a BA in Political Science, she is looking forward to finally enrolling in CENTER/LEARN in 2009. Laura and her husband, Paul, are raising two children of God, John and Emily. She works half-time for Grinnell Regional Medical Center in the public relations department and half-time for God at Grinnell UCC-Congregational.
